As a Mobile Engineer III, you'll play a crucial part in designing and building the best shopping experiences for travelers and partners within our Air and Activities Experience domain. You will work with open-source technologies and collaborate closely with diverse, global teams to solve sophisticated challenges across Expedia Group’s iconic brands, including Expedia, Vrbo, Hotels.com, and Orbitz.

• Collaborate with peers across the organization to tackle shared challenges, build a deep understanding of cross-functional dependencies, and ensure seamless problem-solving.
• Share knowledge and participate in a community of practice to enhance skills across the engineering team.
• Demonstrate expertise in mobile technology and contribute to building and optimizing mobile experiences.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy complex software applications that meet design and functional requirements.
• Apply best practices in software design, ensuring that your code is clean, modular, and efficient.
• Lead and mentor team members through code reviews, and contribute innovative ideas to drive technical improvements.
• Identify areas for improvement in code, systems, or processes, and propose creative solutions to increase efficiency.
• Leverage mobile-centric approaches to troubleshoot issues, ensuring that all aspects of the technology stack are considered.
• Monitor and optimize app performance, including battery usage, memory, and frame rates, to deliver smooth user experiences.

Who You Are

• You have 5+ years of experience in building and maintaining iOS apps, with proficiency in Swift and experience running multiple projects in production environments.
• A solid understanding of iOS frameworks such as SwiftUI, Cocoa, and RxSwift, with experience designing and implementing APIs.
• Comfortable with version control tools like Git, and experienced in testing, debugging, and monitoring tools to ensure code quality and performance.
• Adept at designing systems that are both easily testable and observable, ensuring smooth performance across various devices.
• Experience working in a global, decentralized team, collaborating across multiple locations and time zones.
• Passionate about mobile technologies and staying current with industry trends and best practices.
