Join our Cars Shopping Experience Native Team within the Product & Technology division at Expedia. As a Mobile Engineer II - iOS, you'll leverage your expertise and passion for innovation to create a world-class shopping experience for millions of travelers each year.

Key Responsibilities

1. Engage in the Software Development Lifecycle. Participate in all stages of the development process, from concept to deployment.
2. Develop and Enhance iOS Applications. Contribute to the scalable architecture of iOS applications using Swift and relevant technologies.
3. Ensure High Quality and Performance. Write clean, maintainable code, and participate in code reviews to uphold high standards.
4. Collaborate and Innovate. Work with a global team to tackle complex challenges and adopt innovative technologies.
5. Drive Continuous Improvement. Seek ways to enhance development practices and share knowledge with your team.

Experience and Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in iOS application development.
• Proficient in Swift and familiar with Xcode and other iOS development tools.
• Understanding of mobile application design patterns (MVC, MVVM, MVP, etc.).
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Proven ability to write unit test cases for reliability and performance.
• Skilled in monitoring and troubleshooting code performance (frame rate, memory leaks, etc.).
• Preferred experience with SwiftUI and Combine frameworks.
• Strong understanding of user interface design for mobile apps, in line with Apple’s design principles.
• Passionate about writing high-quality, maintainable code with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Eager to explore new technologies and methodologies.
