As part of our dynamic and growing team, you will play a critical role as a Mobile Automation Testing Specialist. This position is for someone with a passion for testing and automation in the mobile domain. You will drive the automation strategy for mobile testing, leveraging tools like Selenium, Appium, and other mobile-specific solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality mobile applications while maintaining a continuous improvement culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of automation frameworks for mobile applications and devices.
- Drive the shift-left testing approach by integrating automation early in the development cycle using agile practices.
- Implement mobile automation tests using frameworks like Selenium, Appium, Rest Assured, and Postman.
- Automate testing for APIs, Microservices, and mobile applications ensuring continuous integration and high test coverage.
- Design, execute, and troubleshoot automation tests for both UI and API layers in mobile applications.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to ensure automation is aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Work in Agile and DevOps environments to integrate mobile testing solutions in continuous delivery pipelines (using tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub).
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the automation team, guiding them through test automation challenges and best practices.
- Mentor and upskill junior automation testers on mobile testing tools, frameworks, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and issues in mobile applications, recommending improvements to optimize speed and reliability.
- Explore and recommend the latest trends in mobile automation technologies and integrate them into testing practices.
Required Skills and Experience
- 8-12 years of experience in Mobile Automation Testing with hands-on expertise in UI, API, and Mobile Test Automation.
- Experience in automated testing frameworks like Selenium, Appium, Playwright, and UFT Mobile.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Strong experience in API/Microservices testing and automation using tools like Rest Assured, Postman, or similar.
- Expertise in BDD and TDD methodologies using tools like Cucumber, Serenity, and Playwright-BDD.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, etc.).
- Solid understanding of mobile testing tools and technologies (e.g., Appium, UFT Mobile).
- Experience working in an Agile environment and with tools like JIRA, Rally, or ALM.
- Familiarity with Service Virtualization tools like Mockoon and CA Lisa.
- Hands-on experience in configuring and optimizing test automation environments for mobile applications.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to interface with clients, providing insights into testing solutions and strategies.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of the latest trends in Quality Engineering, such as RPA, Analytics-driven testing, and AI/ML in QA processes.
- Experience with GitHub Copilot and other GenAI tools for automation.
- Familiarity with mobile testing solutions that include real devices and cloud-based testing services.
- Experience working with TestNG, JUnit, SonarQube, or other code quality tools.
- Expertise in service virtualization for mobile apps and APIs.
