We are seeking a seasoned Lead Architect - Integration to join our dynamic team. This role demands a robust understanding of backend application development and expertise in leveraging Envoy for optimized API traffic management and service mesh architectures. You will play a pivotal role in designing, constructing, and maintaining critical infrastructure, while collaborating closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable backend applications, adhering to industry best practices.
• Utilize Envoy to optimize API traffic management and implement effective service mesh architectures.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to automate CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless and efficient deployments.
• Analyze and optimize infrastructure architectures for performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
• Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues in production environments to ensure high availability and uptime.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in backend technologies, Envoy, and related tools.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment within the team.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and implement new technologies for enhanced efficiency.
• Architect, design, and implement microservices solutions using container-based technologies such as Docker, Swarm, Compose, and Kubernetes.
• Demonstrate strategic thinking and an enterprise-wide perspective, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term goals.
• Set ambitious yet achievable goals and execute them through well-defined plans and actions.
• Effectively manage competing priorities without compromising delivery timelines.

Preferred Skills

1. Experience. 8-12 years in backend application development with strong problem-solving skills.
2. Expertise in Envoy. Proven experience with Envoy and its application in service mesh architectures.
3. Containerization Technologies. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
4. API Gateway & Service Mesh. Experience with API Gateway and Gloo Service Mesh is a plus.
5. Best Practices. Excellent understanding of software development best practices and design principles.
6. Leadership Skills. Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
