As a Java Web Developer at Infosys, you will be part of a high-performing team responsible for building and maintaining cutting-edge web applications. Responsibilities
- Work closely with clients and project managers to gather and understand project requirements and specifications.
- Translate client requirements into system requirements to drive application design and development.
- Design and implement Java and Spring Boot applications based on client needs.
- Build and maintain scalable and efficient web applications using modern web technologies and frameworks.
- Develop RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services as required.
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure the functionality and stability of the codebase.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and fix bugs and issues in the system.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (designers, testers, project managers) to deliver integrated and high-quality solutions.
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings, and Agile sprints to track progress and adjust priorities.
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure satisfaction and alignment with business goals.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging Java technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
- Contribute to process improvements and provide suggestions to enhance product quality and development speed.
Skills & Experience Required
- Java (Core Java, Java EE)
- Spring Boot framework
- Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with RESTful API development and integration
Preferred Skills
- Spring Boot architecture and modules
- Hands-on experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL)
- Familiarity with microservices architecture
- Knowledge of Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
Other Skills
- Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
- Problem-solving and logical thinking abilities
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git)
Educational Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (e.g., M.Tech, MCA, B.Tech, B.E.)
- Additional certifications or training in Java or web technologies are a plus.
