As a JAVA API Developer at Infosys, you will be at the forefront of developing and deploying high-quality APIs that enhance our digital services and support client transformations. You will leverage your expertise in Java and Spring Boot to create efficient microservices that drive performance and innovation within our applications. This role not only focuses on coding but also emphasizes collaboration, code quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deploy scalable APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Conduct peer code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Write comprehensive JUnit test cases to validate functionality and reliability.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management and UX/UI designers, to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Utilize tools like SonarQube to monitor and enhance code quality, performance, and security.
- Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to continuously improve skills and contribute to best practices.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in Java (1.8 and above), Spring Boot, Hibernate, and microservices.
- Experience with API documentation tools like Swagger and CI/CD tools such as Bamboo.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and version control systems (e.g., Bitbucket).
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Java development with a focus on API and microservices.
