Job Description

As a Human Resources Analyst at American Express in Gurugram, India, you will play a pivotal role in driving HR excellence by leveraging data and analytics to support recruitment, compliance, and performance management processes. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of recruitment strategies and ensure operational excellence in the HR function. Your contributions will drive decision-making, improve recruitment processes, and help deliver high-quality HR solutions that align with the company's goals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Data & Analytics for Recruitment. Work extensively with data to drive recruitment planning and process improvements and solve any data integrity or reporting issues. Provide insight into local and functional labor markets.
  2. Stakeholder Management. Understand internal stakeholders’ needs and develop effective solutions to address those needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless recruitment and HR processes.
  3. Performance Analysis. Analyze team performance through various data points like survey results and changes in strategies to identify trends and optimize processes.
  4. Market Insight Integration. Leverage external market insights to shape recruitment strategies and ensure a competitive edge in talent acquisition.
  5. Compliance Management. Oversee and manage compliance reviews based on risk assessments and audits. Ensure adherence to all required guidelines and global recruitment standards.
  6. Dashboard Management & Reporting. Ensure timely publishing of key performance dashboards (weekly, fortnightly, quarterly) and governance reports to keep stakeholders informed of progress.
  7. Operational Excellence. Act as the logistics liaison, ensuring an efficient end-to-end recruitment process for candidates, hiring leaders, and recruiters. Troubleshoot and resolve key issues during recruitment.
  8. Senior Leadership Collaboration. Use data insights to support senior leaders' strategic decision-making processes, including townhalls and key partnership opportunities.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum Education. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  2. Experience. A total of 8+ years of experience in HR or related roles, with at least 5 years in a project management capacity, ideally within an agile environment in a large-scale multinational organization.
  3. Collaboration Skills. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to collaborate effectively across different levels of the organization.
  4. Accountability & Ownership. Ability to take ownership of initiatives and deliver results with minimal supervision.
  5. Strategic Thinking. Proven strategic thought leadership and the ability to proactively address challenges.
  6. Flexibility. A flexible, proactive approach to handling new projects and responsibilities.
  7. Conflict Management. Effective conflict resolution skills to ensure positive outcomes for all stakeholders.

Key Skills

  1. Proficiency in MS Excel & PowerPoint. High level of expertise in using Excel and PowerPoint for analysis, reporting, and presentations.
  2. Excellent Communication. Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders across the organization.
  3. Problem Solving. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, especially in fast-paced environments.
  4. Collaboration in Matrixed Organizations. Experience in navigating complex, matrixed organizations and working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
