Job Description

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is seeking a highly skilled HPC Cloud Architect (L3) to join their team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in High-Performance Computing (HPC) and cloud infrastructure to design, deploy, and manage complex systems that utilize cloud technologies, particularly AWS. Your knowledge of HPC clusters and experience with CAE applications will be crucial as you work with clients to ensure optimal performance and scalability of their cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

  1. HPC & AWS Expertise. Design and architect cloud-based HPC solutions using AWS services, ensuring the best possible performance, scalability, and reliability.
  2. Cluster Management. Manage and optimize HPC clusters, working on the configuration, scaling, and deployment of resources to meet performance and computational needs.
  3. CAE Application Support. Ensure smooth operation and optimization of Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) applications in a cloud-based environment.
  4. Scripting & Automation. Use Linux Bash scripting and Python scripting to automate processes, handle data management, and streamline workflow for cloud-based HPC applications.
  5. Scheduler Configuration. Work with scheduling tools like Slurm and PBS to manage job distribution and optimize resource allocation in high-performance computing environments.
  6. Performance Tuning. Collaborate with teams to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions for performance optimization in cloud-based HPC systems.
  7. Client Collaboration. Work closely with internal teams and clients to understand requirements, provide technical solutions, and deliver high-quality results.

Skills & Experience Required

  1. Experience. 8 to 12 years in HPC, Cloud Computing, and related technologies.
  2. HPC Clusters. Strong experience in setting up, managing, and optimizing HPC clusters.
  3. Cloud Infrastructure. Proficiency in working with AWS and cloud-based HPC environments.
  4. Scripting. Expertise in Linux Bash scripting and Python for automation and system management.
  5. Scheduler Tools. Familiarity with job scheduling tools like Slurm and PBS for managing computational workloads in a distributed environment.
  6. CAE Applications. Experience with Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) applications, preferably in a cloud or distributed computing environment.
  7. Problem-Solving. Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in complex HPC environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of Performance-Based Specifications (PBS) to ensure optimal resource utilization and system performance.
  • Cloud Certifications (AWS, etc.) are a plus, demonstrating formal expertise in cloud infrastructure and solutions.
