We are seeking a skilled and experienced Middle Guidewire Integration Developer to join our remote team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing integration solutions aligned with business requirements within the Guidewire platform. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality, scalable, and reusable integrations while adhering to best practices and standards.
Responsibilities
- Technical Design & Implementation. Ensure technical designs and specifications meet user stories/requirements and adhere to Guidewire and EPAM best practices.
- Collaboration. Work with technical and business leaders during Guidewire Policy Center implementations. Participate in requirements review, assessment, and sizing of required configurations and technical efforts.
- Development. Utilize Guidewire accelerators to enhance development activities and reuse proven architectural patterns. Develop integration solutions including batch processes, message queues, and event messaging.
- API Solutions. Build domain-based API solutions using Guidewire EDGE APIs or EDGE-oriented extended models that are reusable.
- Testing & Support. Conduct traceable unit and integration tests (automated as agreed), and ensure thorough testing (unit, integration, end-to-end, and smoke) following continuous integration and deployment activities. Support various lifecycle phases including production support and maintenance.
- Code Review. Facilitate gate-checking of code prior to propagating to higher environments.
Requirements
- Experience. Minimum of 4 years in Guidewire Policy Center integration development with experience in web-based Java/J2EE or .NET applications.
- Guidewire Integration. Strong knowledge of Guidewire integration concepts such as batch processing, message queues, and event processing.
- Technical Skills. Advanced proficiency in XML, JSON, SQL, and experience with web service hosting and consuming using the Guidewire EDGE Layer.
- API Development. Proficient in designing and developing REST APIs or web services to expose Guidewire functionality to external systems.
- Source Control. Experience with source control tools like Git.
- Attention to Detail. Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in the development process.
- Language Proficiency. B2+ English level proficiency.
