Job Description

Join our dynamic DevOps B2C team as a GCP Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in our digital transformation journey. We are seeking a passionate individual with a deep understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and solutions. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust cloud-based infrastructure and applications, contributing to innovation and efficiency within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design & Implementation. Create scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure on GCP, ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
  2. Automation. Leverage tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and GitLab to automate cloud operations, streamlining processes and enhancing productivity.
  3. Monitoring & Optimization. Continuously monitor cloud performance and security, implementing optimizations as needed to align with best practices.
  4. Compliance & Governance. Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices for cloud security and governance.
  5. Troubleshooting. Identify and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.

Required Skills & Experience

  1. Education. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in GCP cloud engineering.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in RESTful web services and API development using Spring Boot and Java/J2EE.
  • Familiarity with Apache Spark and Apache Beam (Dataflow).
  • Strong understanding of GCP services, including GKE (Kubernetes Engine), Cloud Storage, Cloud Spanner, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, and serverless technologies like DataProc and DataFlow.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of GCP networking concepts, including Global Load Balancer (GLB) setup, Internal Load Balancer (ILB), Istio, and Anthos.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Bash or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.

Cloud Security

  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and tools, including IAM, Cloud Security Command Center, and Cloud Armor.
