Job Description

Microsoft is looking for a Global Blackbelt (GBB) Apps Innovation Specialist Manager to lead a high-performing team focused on driving revenue and market share for Azure App Innovation. This role involves managing a team of Azure App Innovation Specialists to modernize applications using the Azure platform, develop AI cloud-native applications, and leverage Microsoft’s app innovation technologies.

Responsibilities
Leadership

  1. Team Management. Lead and develop a team of Azure App Innovation Specialists to achieve revenue and market share goals.
  2. Strategic Planning. Assess the marketplace, identify opportunities, and develop comprehensive sales strategies to modernize applications and develop AI solutions.
  3. Market Engagement. Understand technology trends and market forces. Build strong connections with partners and stakeholders to enhance sales reach and impact.
  4. Sales Collaboration. Work with Area Sales and Marketing to create a unified sales approach and drive growth for App Innovation.

Sales

  • Revenue Targets. Lead the team to exceed revenue, consumption, and scorecard targets for the Apps Innovation Advanced Workload.
  • Skill Development. Enhance the team’s solution sales and technical skills to effectively sell the benefits of Microsoft’s app innovation technologies.
  • Pipeline Management. Maintain and forecast the pipeline to meet operational standards. Drive new business opportunities and achieve targets.

People Management

  1. Team Development. Build a high-performing team by hiring diverse talent and preparing team members for senior roles.
  2. Coaching. Mentor sellers with a “challenger mentality,” encouraging them to engage with new insights and business growth strategies.
  3. Recognition. Acknowledge and reward successful teams and individual contributions.

Customer Centricity

  1. Engagement. Personally engage with CxO-level stakeholders to support and coach teams in opportunity discovery and acceleration.
  2. Solution Delivery. Lead efforts to drive end-to-end business solutions, increasing customer satisfaction and average deal sizes.
  3. Cloud Services. Ensure customer intent to consume cloud services and drive effective implementation.

Partner Engagement

  • Co-Selling. Leverage partnerships to enhance Microsoft solutions, co-sell with partners, and accelerate deal closures.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum

  1. Education. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Experience. 10+ years of experience in sales, sales management, or business strategy, including global or international experience leading diverse and remote teams.

Preferred

  1. Certifications. Sales, sales management, or complex sales training certifications; Enterprise Architecture training.
  2. Technical Experience. Experience with App Migration/Modernization to cloud, scalable architectures, DevOps, and CI/CD tools.
  3. Cloud Knowledge. Understanding of Microsoft’s commercial cloud offerings, including Azure App Platform, Dev Tools, and low-code technologies.

Skills

  1. Sales Leadership. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a sales team, with strong skills in presentation, negotiation, and complex solution selling.
  2. Technical Passion. Passion for application development platforms, cloud technologies, and software development practices.
  3. Customer Focus. Ability to build strong relationships, challenge perspectives, and drive business value from Microsoft solutions.
