Job Description

We are currently seeking a Manager for our Cyber Operations Center (COS). The primary objective of this role is to manage COS operations for our external clients during service transition and/or service execution phases. The Manager, COS will oversee daily COS operations to defend enterprise networks against advanced, targeted attacks by providing threat monitoring and cyber defense services. They will collaborate closely with the COS operations team, focusing on threat identification, incident response, cyber threat intelligence infusion, and mitigation measures to ensure defense resilience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Service Delivery Manager (SDM) and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Cyber Operations Center team during service execution phase.
  • Provide expertise and guidance on Sentinel design, implementation, log provisioning integration, use case development, and troubleshooting.
  • Offer expertise and guidance on incident response management, coordinating efforts between client teams and Accenture.
  • Ensure hierarchical escalation management, daily operations management, resource management, and incident handling.
  • Produce reports and reviews of contractual measures — ICP/SLA.
  • Implement and ensure security of client environments, including the deployment of technological solutions.
  • Participate in business development activities (including bid responses and inquiries).
  • Drive continuous service improvement and lead automation operations.
  • Contribute to personnel-related activities, including development, coaching, recruitment, training, and retention. Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Information Security, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in information security and cybersecurity, focusing on security monitoring and analysis.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity solutions (SIEM, Cloud Access Security Broker, Data Loss Prevention, Web Application Firewalls, Multi-Factor Authentication, Data Rights Management, Identity Access Management, etc.).
  • At least 3 years of experience in managing teams of varying sizes and resource management.
  • Extensive experience directly collaborating with client stakeholders as a single point of contact, managing escalations, and driving remediation initiatives.
  • Understanding of frameworks such as ISO 27001/27002, COBIT, and other relevant compliances like PCI, HIPAA, SOX, FISMA.
  • Experience and knowledge in Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
  • Possession (or ability to obtain) Canadian security clearance.
  • Proficiency in English is required as this role involves regular interaction with stakeholders in Canada, the United States, and other countries where English is the common language.

Desired Skills

  • Certifications in public cloud (architect level, security engineer/specialist) or security certifications like CISSP, CISM, CCSP or CCSK, CEH, CISA, Azure Security Engineer, Azure Solution Architect Expert, AWS Solution Architect Associate/Professional.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, guidelines, and regulatory requirements related to information security and cloud security, such as GDPR, ISO 27001, Cloud Security Alliance, NIST 800-53, PCI DSS, ISA/IEC 62443, NERC CIP, HIPAA, etc.
  • Experience with scripting languages like Shell, Python, Perl, JavaScript, PowerShell, Azure-CLI, AWS-CLI, GCP CLI, etc.
  • Certifications for security products or solutions from vendors such as AZ-500, SC-200.
  • Familiarity with public cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud), preferably with basic certification.

Compensation

Accenture offers competitive compensation based on various factors including location, role, specific skill set, and relevant experience level. As required by law, Accenture provides a reasonable salary range for full-time positions that may be filled in the USA, as described below.

Salary Range by Location

  1. British Columbia. $89,500 to $272,600 annually
