We are looking for an experienced Generative AI (GenAI) Data Scientist to play a key role in the development and deployment of cutting-edge GenAI models. In this position, you will specialize in fine-tuning Generative Pre-trained Transformers (GPTs) using the Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) method to solve real-world challenges and enhance the capabilities of our AI systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborative Development. Work alongside engineers and researchers to design, build, and implement GenAI models across various applications.
- End-to-End Model Lifecycle. Take part in every phase of the GenAI lifecycle, including data collection, pre-processing, model training, evaluation, and deployment.
- Model Fine-Tuning. Focus on fine-tuning pre-trained models, particularly GPT-based architectures, utilizing the RAG method to adapt models for specific tasks and domains.
- Performance Evaluation. Design and implement evaluation metrics that assess the quality, effectiveness, and fairness of GenAI models.
- Real-World Alignment. Collaborate with domain experts to ensure that generated outputs are aligned with real-world requirements and business goals.
- Continuous Learning. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in GenAI research and share knowledge within the team to drive continuous innovation.
Required Qualifications
- Educational Background. Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience. Minimum 2+ years working with AI, particularly in Generative AI models, with a focus on text-based generation.
- Technical Expertise
- Strong understanding of deep learning architectures, especially transformers like GPT-n.
- Proven experience in fine-tuning pre-trained models, especially using the RAG approach.
- Proficiency in Python, and experience with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Hugging Face Transformers.
- Data Expertise. Experience with data analysis, manipulation, and visualization tools and techniques.
- Communication Skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
- Innovation Drive. A passion for AI innovation and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
Preferred Skills
- Real-World GenAI Deployment. Experience in working on real-world GenAI projects, deploying models to production environments.
- Fairness & Bias Awareness. Understanding of fairness and bias considerations in the development of AI systems.
- Cloud Knowledge. Familiarity with Azure stack for cloud-based AI model deployment.
