TCS is seeking an experienced and skilled GCP Data Engineer to join our team in Mumbai. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable data systems that enable efficient data collection, storage, and analytics. This position requires a strong foundation in data engineering, with hands-on experience in data pipelines, data analysis, and the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into valuable insights for our data scientists and other data-centric stakeholders.

Experience. 5 to 10 Years

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and Develop Data Pipelines. Build and maintain efficient data pipelines that convert raw data into usable formats for data scientists, applications, and business users.
2. Optimize Data Systems. Enhance and optimize data storage, retrieval, and analysis systems to support large-scale data processing.
3. Data Collection and Storage Solutions. Develop robust solutions for data ingestion, storage, and access that ensure data is organized, accessible, and secure.
4. Collaborate Across Teams. Work closely with data scientists, business intelligence teams, and other engineers to support data-driven decision-making.
5. Troubleshoot and Maintain Pipelines. Actively monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure smooth and uninterrupted data flow.

Required Skills & Qualifications

1. GCP Expertise. Proven experience working with Google Cloud Platform, including services for data storage, analytics, and data management.
2. Programming Skills. Proficiency in Python and JavaScript for data processing and pipeline development, with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
3. SQL Proficiency. Strong command of SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and optimizing queries in large-scale environments.
4. Data Analysis. Solid understanding of data analysis principles, enabling you to derive insights and ensure data quality and reliability.
5. Experience in Data Engineering. Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering or related roles, focusing on designing, implementing, and optimizing data systems.
