Job Description

As an Engineer III in Software Development at S&P Global Market Intelligence, you will be part of an elite team of skilled, innovative, and dedicated software professionals. Your primary focus will be on the architecture, design, development, quality, and maintenance of the next-generation EDM application, encompassing desktop, web, and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), architecture, design, development, and support of the product.
  • Actively participate in all scrum ceremonies, adhering to Agile best practices.
  • Develop high-quality, high-performance, scalable code.
  • Produce technical design documents and conduct technical walkthroughs.
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand and clarify requirements.
  • Engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Respond to and resolve issues raised by internal and external clients.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience. Minimum of 8+ years in Full Stack application development.

Technical Expertise

  • Proficiency in C#, .Net, .Net Core, WEB API, SQL Server, and JavaScript frameworks (jQuery, React.js, Angular).
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and DevOps concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with version control tools like GIT.
  • Strong background in relational database technologies, particularly SQL Server and Transact SQL.
  • Deep understanding of system architecture, object-oriented design, and design patterns.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and Test-driven development (TDD).
  • Previous experience in financial enterprise software development.
  • Expertise in microservices or distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in both front-end and back-end development.
  • Ability to deliver in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
