Job Description

As a Software Engineer in our Global Risk and Compliance Technology organization, you'll play a pivotal role in platform modernization and compliance efforts. You'll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, such as Big Data, Spark, Hive, and GCP offerings, to deliver innovative solutions that meet global regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and assist in the design and development of applications within the Compliance and Operations Risk big data delivery team in India.
  • Manage specific functional areas within the team, including project management and business specification interpretation.
  • Independently drive projects and tasks delegated to you, showcasing your technical expertise and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent).
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Proficiency in Big Data technologies (e.g., Spark Core, Hive) is essential.
  • Familiarity with GCP offerings and experience building data pipelines on GCP is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Hadoop Architecture, including Hadoop, MapReduce, and HBase.
  • UNIX shell scripting experience is desirable.
  • Ability to develop and document technical and functional specifications, and analyze software and system processing flows.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a willingness to understand business requirements.
