The Workspaces team at Postman is pivotal in establishing workspaces as the core of our API Platform. With over 30 million users, we drive API collaboration across development, testing, prototyping, and more. We manage tier-0/1 systems handling ~21 million daily requests, directly impacting user experience and organizational goals.

What You’ll Do

1. Vision & Leadership. Align team efforts with Postman’s vision, fostering a deep understanding of how their work contributes to our goals. Drive career growth and mentorship within the team.
2. Engineering Strategy. Define and drive technical strategies, ensuring timely delivery of critical initiatives and contributing to the product roadmap for maximum impact.
3. Team Growth. Lead end-to-end recruitment, hiring top engineering talent, and onboarding new members to foster a culture of excellence.
4. Performance & Metrics. Own and measure key performance metrics, guiding the team towards operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
5. Collaboration. Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering peers to establish best practices, guidelines, and standards, evolving the team’s mission and strategy.
6. Technical Excellence. Uphold high software architecture and design standards, influencing decisions across the development lifecycle to ensure superior product quality.
7. Operational Excellence. Ensure product performance, security, and availability, maintaining a 99.99% uptime commitment and driving continuous improvement in operational processes.
8. Culture & Recognition. Promote a culture of feedback and recognition, celebrating individual and team achievements while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of software development experience in languages like Java, JavaScript, NodeJS.
• 3+ years of technical leadership experience delivering customer-centric products.
• 2+ years of people management experience.
• Experience with Microservices architectures and strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience scaling customer-based products.
• Background in standardizing engineering practices in a growing company.
