Join PwC's Finance Tax (Direct) team as an Associate, specializing in direct tax matters for PwC India operations. You will play a crucial role in tax planning, compliance, assessments, litigations, and advisory services. This position offers an opportunity to work on complex financial reporting, cost management, tax planning, and transaction processing.
Core Responsibilities
- Tax Compliance. Manage ITR filings, tax audits, Transfer Pricing audits, and Form 67 submissions. Calculate and facilitate advance tax payments. Coordinate with tax authorities for intimation processing, rectifications, refunds, and demands.
- Tax Assessments/Litigations. Prepare detailed submissions, collaborate with internal and external consultants, and manage assessments and litigations.
- Technical Support. Draft memos, opinions, and submissions on tax technicalities. Conduct research on case laws and industry developments. Maintain tax provisioning accuracy and handle deferred tax calculations.
- Reporting and Coordination. Update stakeholders on ongoing matters promptly. Handle tax accounting, reconciliations, and compliance such as SFT filing and Master File preparation. Assist in management reporting and process improvements.
- Automation and Efficiency. Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within the tax function.
Education and Experience
- Education Level. Chartered Accountant, B.Com
- Experience Level. 2-4 years in direct taxation
- Required Skills. Direct Tax, Income Taxes, Transfer Pricing Documentation
