Job Description

We are seeking a Design Verification Engineer to join Intel's cutting-edge team. This role will focus on performing functional verification of IP logic and ensuring that designs meet specification requirements for microarchitecture. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with architects, RTL developers, and physical design teams to improve the verification process for complex architectural and microarchitectural features.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Functional Verification. Perform functional verification of IP logic to ensure it meets the required design specifications.
  2. Verification Planning. Develop IP verification plans, test benches, and the verification environment, ensuring full coverage against microarchitecture specifications.
  3. Simulation & Debugging. Execute verification plans by running system simulation models. Analyze power and timing and uncover bugs in the design.
  4. Root Cause Analysis. Replicate, root cause, and debug issues in the pre-silicon environment. Implement corrective measures to resolve failing tests.
  5. Collaboration. Work closely with architects, RTL developers, and physical design teams to improve the verification process for complex features.
  6. Documentation & Reviews. Document verification plans and lead technical reviews of these plans with design and architecture teams.
  7. Verification Infrastructure. Maintain and improve the existing verification infrastructure and methodologies, ensuring consistency and efficiency across projects.
  8. Coherency Architecture. Work on verifying coherent protocols, ensuring designs operate correctly in a multi-core environment.
  9. Protocol Development. Bring up coherent protocols from scratch and integrate protocol checkers, bridge checkers, and VIP for verification.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

  1. Experience. 10+ years of experience working with AMBA protocols and Coherent Protocols.
  2. Programming Skills. Strong coding experience in Perl or Python.
  3. Coherency Architecture. Solid understanding of coherency architecture and experience working with related protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Coherent Protocols from Scratch. Experience in bringing up coherent protocols from 0 to 1.
  2. Network on Chip Verification. 5+ years of experience in Network on-chip (NoC) verification.
  3. Protocol Verification. 5+ years of experience developing protocol checkers, bridge checkers, and integrating Verification IP (VIP).
  4. Configurable IP Verification. Experience in verifying configurable IP in a variety of system configurations.
