We are looking for a motivated and intellectually curious Design Verification Engineer to join the Microsoft Artificial Intelligence System on Chip (AISoC) Silicon team. This role is crucial for delivering high-quality designs in a dynamic, high-performance environment.
Responsibilities
- Verification Planning. Collaborate with architecture and design engineers to plan verification test scenarios for complex IP/SoC designs.
- Test Environment Creation. Develop and enhance constrained-random verification environments using SystemVerilog and UVM or perform formal verification with SVA and leading formal tools.
- Test Development. Create tests using UVM or C/C++.
- Debugging. Analyze and debug test failures in collaboration with designers to ensure functionally correct designs.
- Functional Coverage. Identify and write functional coverage for stimulus and corner cases, and close coverage gaps to meet tape-out requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience. Minimum 3 years in design verification with a proven track record in delivering complex CPU or SoC IPs.
- Verification Knowledge. Strong understanding of verification principles, testbenches, stimulus generation, and UVM or C++ based test environments.
- Computer Architecture. Good grasp of computer architecture concepts.
- RTL Debugging. Significant experience in debugging RTL (Verilog) designs, as well as simulation and/or emulation environments.
- Scripting. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
