In the GTM Analytics Center of Excellence (COE), our mission is to drive impactful change by leveraging machine learning (ML) products to optimize pricing and marketing investments. We provide essential guidance to our sales organization through advanced data insights. We are looking for a Big Data Engineer to help build and scale our internal assets, working with cutting-edge technologies and contributing to real-world business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- ETL Pipeline Development. Design, create, and maintain robust ETL pipelines to process and transform large volumes of data.
- Data Modeling with Spark. Utilize Apache Spark to model and process big data efficiently, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams. Work closely with the project and asset teams to understand business requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Optimization. Ensure that all processes, from data ingestion to transformation, are optimized for performance and efficiency.
- Database Design & Architecture. Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of scalable database architectures that support the analytics pipeline and data assets.
Qualifications
- Educational Background. Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- Experience. At least 2+ years of experience in a similar role, with strong hands-on experience in big data technologies and data engineering practices.
- Problem Solving & Independence. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and deliver results under pressure. Strong problem-solving capabilities with experience in agile workflows.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, Python, PySpark, Scala, or SparkR.
- Solid experience working with ETL processes and data pipeline development.
- Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Elastic Search.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks for managing and processing big data.
- Familiarity with Git, Visual Studio, IntelliJ, and Code Reviews as part of modern application lifecycle management.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience with machine learning frameworks or working in an AI/ML-driven environment.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability and a passion for working with large datasets.
