Key Responsibilities
- Conduct analytical activities and deliver outputs that meet customer needs and adhere to agreed standards.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to drive business decisions.
- Maintain and apply expertise in one or more technical specialisms.
- Offer detailed advice on the application of these specialisms to organizational planning and operations.
- Collaborate with other specialists to ensure that advice is relevant and comprehensive.
- Monitor external technological advancements and assess their potential impacts, threats, and opportunities for the organization.
- Contribute to technology roadmaps and reports, sharing knowledge and insights with relevant teams.
- Analyze corporate data requirements and apply data analysis, design, and modeling techniques.
- Establish, modify, or maintain data structures and components, including entity descriptions and attribute definitions.
- Guide database designers and users on the effective use of data structures.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of database and data warehouse concepts, principles, and software.
- Assess changes to data structures, evaluate options, and implement designs that support performance and availability.
- Ensure data warehouse designs meet business intelligence and analytics needs.
- Design, code, test, document, and refactor complex programs and integration services.
- Choose and apply appropriate software development approaches, including both predictive and adaptive methodologies.
- Participate in and lead code reviews to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Define test conditions and design test cases/scripts based on requirements and specifications.
- Record and report test results, identifying and addressing issues and risks associated with the testing process.
- Ensure the ethical handling of data, including its accessibility, retrievability, security, and protection.
- Contribute to hiring decisions and create a supportive work environment.
- Provide coaching, training, and career development opportunities for team members.
- Allocate tasks based on experience, complexity, and organizational efficiency.
Requisite Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, or related fields, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT, specifically with relevant expertise in PySpark, SQL, AWS, and Databricks.
