As a Data Engineer in the Territory Planning & Analytics (TP&A) team at Gartner, you will play a crucial role in developing and supporting data-based products and automation solutions. You will work with large datasets, develop scalable cloud-based products, and collaborate with business teams to address complex data challenges and enhance sales productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Development. Execute data strategy through the design and development of data-based products and automation solutions. Participate in the architecture design and implementation of high-performance, scalable, and optimized data solutions.
- Data Integration. Integrate data from diverse sources, including on-premise databases and external sources via REST APIs and harvesting tools.
- Collaboration. Work with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and collaborate with technical teams to bring product ideas to life.
What You Will Need
- Educational Qualification. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience. 2-5 years of hands-on experience in developing scalable cloud-based products. Proficiency in Python, with experience in AWS (EC2, Lambda, AWS Batch) or similar experience on Microsoft Azure.
Technical Skills
- Python Frameworks. Expertise in Django, Flask, FastAPI, Pandas, Numpy.
- SQL. Extensive experience with SQL on RDBMS (Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL) and creating functions and stored procedures.
- Cloud Integration. Experience integrating with APIs to build cloud-based products and services.
Additional Skills
- Data Science. Good to have experience in creating machine learning models and building recommendation systems.
- Analytical Skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data to design and deliver meaningful solutions.
- Design Skills. Knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP), data structures, and design patterns.
