Visa is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design and build advanced analytics and reporting platforms. In this role, you’ll work with cutting-edge Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and MapReduce to deliver high-quality, scalable applications.

Your Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business partners to understand requirements, outcomes, and scope analytic data assets.
• Develop and implement model attributes, participate in brainstorming, and contribute to the project design.
• Establish a data engineering process to support self-service data access for Visa’s data scientists.
• Identify automation and scaling opportunities, building tools for repeatable analyses.
• Lead data engineering projects of varying scope, ensuring timely delivery within budget.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge in designing and developing real-time and batch data-driven systems.
• 3+ years of experience in programming languages such as Java, Python, Scala, or Pyspark.
• 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), ideally in AI/ML environments.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes/EKS is a plus.
• Experience in building distributed, high-performance systems, ideally in payments or similar fields.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Agile methodologies, and scrum practices.
