About the Role

• Designing, developing, deploying, and managing high-volume/high-transactional mission-critical SQL/NoSQL systems.
• Building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL processes for our Data Warehouse solution.
• Developing and optimizing data models to ensure efficient storage and retrieval.
• Implementing and managing data lakes and warehouses using Spark, Scala, and Hive technologies.
• Leading database upgrade efforts in our AWS environment and contributing to disaster recovery planning and implementation.
• Defining actionable KPIs and configuring monitoring/alerting systems.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience managing high transaction volume SQL/NoSQL systems such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Teradata.
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, joins, and stored procedures.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Strong expertise in Spark batch and stream processing, as well as exposure to other big data technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Experience with Apache Iceberg, Delta, and Parquet table formats is a plus.
• Familiarity with ETL tools like Informatica and experience with Amazon RedShift are advantageous.
