Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer (Azure) to join our dynamic team at Accenture. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions to handle data generation, collection, and processing. You will work with cutting-edge tools and technologies to create efficient ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, ensuring high data quality, and streamlining data migration across platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Data Pipeline Development. Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to collect, process, and store large volumes of data efficiently, ensuring data consistency and accuracy.
  2. ETL Process Implementation. Create advanced ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data across different systems, optimizing for performance and scalability.
  3. Data Quality Management. Work with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data quality issues, ensuring that the data delivered meets the highest standards.
  4. Collaboration. Collaborate with other engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to understand data requirements and design solutions that meet those needs.
  5. Mentorship & Guidance. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high-quality development practices.
  6. Continuous Improvement. Stay up to date with the latest data engineering technologies and trends, driving continuous improvement in the design and delivery of data solutions.
  7. Problem-Solving. Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for your team and across other teams, solving complex problems related to data management, architecture, and performance.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering with strong proficiency in Python.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Services, including tools like Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Solid experience in building and maintaining ETL processes and data pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Databricks Platform and Databricks SQL for building scalable data solutions.
  • Proficiency in Python on Azure, with a focus on data manipulation, processing, and integration.
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Compensation. Compensation for this role varies based on factors like experience, office location, and skill set. For candidates located in specific states, the following ranges apply (based on local laws).

  • California/Colorado/District of Columbia/Maryland/New York/Washington: $58.17 - $68.17 per hour.
