As a Data Analyst on the Investment Management Profiles team at S&P Global Market Intelligence, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our comprehensive investment data. You will be responsible for data extraction, collation, and analysis to support investment firms in making informed decisions. Your role will involve ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of data, contributing to team goals, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Extraction and Analysis. Collect, standardize, and validate investment data from various sources, including company reports, regulatory filings, and news.
- Profile Maintenance. Regularly update profiles by sourcing information from company websites, regulatory filings, and contact research.
- Proactive Engagement. Demonstrate a high level of motivation and positivity while working with routine tasks and leading transformation projects.
- Team Collaboration. Contribute to team engagement and culture building activities.
Basic Qualifications
- Educational Background. Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Skills. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Communication. Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Technical Proficiency. Well-versed in internet searching and Microsoft Office applications.
- Work Availability. Flexible to work during holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Self-Motivation. Proven ability to work independently and maintain focus on routine tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical Skills. Experience with SQL or other database technologies, knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Macros.
- Data Visualization. Familiarity with Power BI.
