Job Description

As a key member of our Cybersecurity Architecture & Security Engineering team, you will work alongside talented security engineers and architects dedicated to ensuring the security of HP’s products, solutions, and infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on manual testing, complemented by automated tools, to identify a complex set of vulnerabilities across various products and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify vulnerabilities, attacks, and threats within HP systems, analyze security incidents and research appropriate countermeasures.
  • Use in-depth knowledge of the HP environment to assess the extent and impact of vulnerabilities, attacks, or breaches.
  • Independently analyze and resolve security issues related to vulnerabilities, incidents, and threats.
  • Collaborate with development and product teams to consult on vulnerability remediation strategies.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain HP’s security solutions based on thorough analysis, research, and incident resolution.
  • Act as a key team member in security initiatives, providing advice on methods to improve security solutions.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A technical cybersecurity certification from recognized bodies (e.g., SANS, ISACA, (ISC)², CompTIA, Cisco, CERT) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity.

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Advanced knowledge of Cyber and IT security, including risks, threats, and prevention measures.
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, PowerShell, HTML, JavaScript).
  • Strong analytical skills for security system analysis and understanding of security standards and best practices.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of networking, network security, and monitoring protocols.
  • Familiarity with off-the-shelf vulnerability assessment products and tools.
  • Understanding of network security devices (e.g., firewalls, proxies, NIDS/NIPS) and penetration testing techniques.
  • Insight into adversary techniques, tactics, and protocols, along with dynamic and static malware analysis techniques.
  • Experience with digital forensics and memory analysis techniques.
