As a Cyber Security Consultant, you will work within IBM’s Technology Zone, which operates a global Hybrid Cloud infrastructure including IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, and more. Your primary focus will be to collaborate with the Security & Compliance lead to ensure robust security architectures and compliance across these platforms.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cloud Security Models. Review, document, and iterate on cloud security models to ensure secure access to our Hybrid Cloud infrastructure.
2. Collaboration. Work with infrastructure architects and technical security teams to define and implement security processes based on best practices and compliance requirements.
3. Compliance Management. Conduct regular reviews of compliance progress, hosting internal and third-party audits to maintain certifications and compliance.
4. Automation. Collaborate with Development teams to ensure automation of evidence collection and management aligns with compliance expectations.
5. Education. Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (CIS/MIS).
6. DevOps Knowledge. Familiarity with DevOps concepts, tooling, and software development.
7. Security Policies. Understanding of ITSS or ISEC security policies.
8. IBM Security Tools. Knowledge of IBM Security Tooling (e.g., AccessHub, IBM Inventory, Crowdstrike).
9. Regulatory Frameworks. Awareness of Industry Security & Privacy Regulations (e.g., ISO, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI, FFIEC, GDPR).
10. Security Documentation. Experience documenting security models with application and cloud SMEs.
11. Public Cloud Security. Understanding of public cloud security models, including access policies, resource groups, and IAM.
12. Compliance Programs. Familiarity with compliance programs such as FFIEC, FedRAMP, GDPR, and NIST.
13. Risk Assessment. Experience with risk assessment processes, service delivery operations, and software development.
