Job Description

As a Cyber Risk Analyst at S&P Global, you will play a critical role in reducing cyber risks posed by third parties, protecting our brand from potential attacks on our information assets. You will conduct control risk assessments, risk recertifications, and continuously monitor vendors engaged by S&P Global to ensure cybersecurity and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Cybersecurity Assessments. Conduct thorough assessments of vendors' information security policies, procedures, and controls.
  2. Vendor Collaboration. Work with internal teams to identify critical vendors and assess their impact on the organization's cyber risk profile.
  3. Risk Communication. Communicate risk assessment findings and recommendations to key stakeholders, including senior management, legal, and compliance teams.
  4. Security Gap Resolution. Collaborate with vendors to address identified security gaps and ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements.
  5. Continuous Monitoring. Review vendors on the continuous monitoring program and assist in periodic reviews.
  6. Threat Awareness. Stay updated on evolving cybersecurity threats and industry trends to enhance risk assessment processes.
  7. Project Participation. Lead and support enhancement projects within Vendor Risk Management to meet business and regulatory requirements.
  8. Team Support. Assist team members in managing workloads and ad-hoc projects.

Required Qualifications

  1. Education. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent.
  2. Experience. Minimum 3 years in Information Security or Technology Risk Management.
  3. Knowledge. Understanding of technology controls and information security controls.
  4. Cloud Technologies. Familiarity with public cloud technologies such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
  5. Communication Skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills for interacting with cross-functional teams and vendors.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Vendor Risk Management. Prior exposure to vendor risk management and privacy laws and regulations.
  2. Organizational Skills. Strong ability to multitask and prioritize while maintaining attention to detail.
  3. Partnership Building. Ability to build strategic partnerships with internal stakeholders.
  4. Critical Thinking. Strong qualitative skills and critical thinking abilities.
  5. Certifications. Information Security/Risk Management certification is an advantage.
  6. Work Schedule. Flexibility to work in UK Shift and attend meetings during US business hours.
