Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) – AI to join our CSU Americas Team. In this role, you will drive customer transformation on Microsoft Azure by leveraging your expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI). As a customer-facing architect, you will own the technical relationship with customers, guiding them through architecture design, proof of concepts, and implementation projects. This role offers flexibility with up to 100% remote work.

Responsibilities

  1. Customer Engagement. Develop a deep understanding of customers’ data estates and business priorities. Design and implement Data & Analytics solutions that deliver significant business value and enhance customer satisfaction.
  2. Solution Design. Architect solutions that are high-performing, secure, scalable, and reliable. Create AI roadmaps and drive Proof of Concepts (POCs) and Minimal Viable Products (MVPs) to ensure technical viability and successful deployments.
  3. Technical Leadership. Act as a trusted advisor, using your technical knowledge to address customer challenges and drive successful outcomes. Provide insights and feedback to improve Microsoft’s products and services.
  4. Customer Advocacy. Represent the Voice of Customer by sharing best practices, removing blockers, and influencing product development. Connect with the engineering team to drive product enhancements.
  5. Continuous Learning. Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitive insights, and advancements in AI. Collaborate with the AI technical community and educate customers on the Azure platform.
  6. Outcome Acceleration. Leverage your expertise to create and reuse intellectual property, contributing to faster customer outcomes and achieving relevant accreditations and certifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 4+ years in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting.
  • 4+ years in a customer-facing role.
  • 1+ year of experience working with AI, Data Science, or a related discipline.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field with 8+ years of experience, or
  • Master’s Degree in a relevant field with 6+ years of experience.
  • 1+ year working with Large Language Models (LLMs) such as OpenAI, Gemini, Cohere, Claude, Mistral, etc.
  • 4+ years working on technical projects.
  • Technical certification in cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) or security certifications.

Other Information

  • Salary Information. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. For specific locations such as the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the range is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.
