Key Responsibilities

  • Assess current and emerging business requirements to establish sustainable cloud security architecture guardrail patterns that align with business impacts.
  • Review existing cloud security services and patterns, making impactful recommendations for enhancements that improve security and financial efficiency.
  • Drive the development of peers and other teams, acting as an influencer and advocate for change.
  • Identify and implement improvements in automation and operational efficiencies.
  • Execute tactical requests while supporting the overarching strategic vision for cloud security.
  • Stay informed about emerging threats and capabilities, ensuring proactive measures are in place to safeguard the business.

Qualifications

  • Experience. 5+ years in cloud security guardrail patterns, with a preference for AWS expertise.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in AWS IAM, with a demonstrated ability to create and maintain secure patterns for users and workloads.
  • Strong coding skills in Python, along with experience in automation and orchestration tools like Terraform or Ansible.
  • Knowledge of micro-segmentation approaches in AWS, including architecture tactics across routing, PrivateLink, etc.
  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and constructing reference architectures for public cloud providers.
  • Interpersonal Skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, enabling effective partnerships with leaders across the organization to identify opportunities and risks.
