Tech Mahindra is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to join their dynamic team in Bangalore, Karnataka. The ideal candidate will have significant expertise in cloud architecture and infrastructure management, with hands-on experience in public cloud platforms, private cloud solutions, and disaster recovery strategies. The Cloud Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions, ensuring the robustness, security, and scalability of systems for both on-premises and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Architecture Design. Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions for private, public, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Cloud Migration and Support. Lead and manage cloud migration projects, ensuring a smooth transition from on-premise infrastructure to the cloud. Provide support for public cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Infrastructure Management. Maintain and manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, high availability, and security. Monitor AWS EC2, RDS, S3, Route 53, and other cloud resources.
- VMware Implementation and Support. Design, implement, and support VMware-based private cloud solutions. Utilize open stack for cloud deployments as needed.
- Troubleshooting. Perform troubleshooting of cloud infrastructure, identify performance bottlenecks, and resolve issues related to Linux, Unix, and cloud environments.
- Disaster Recovery (DR). Design and implement disaster recovery (DR) solutions, including data replication for on-premise and cloud servers to DR sites in case of natural calamities.
- Security Management. Monitor and address security vulnerabilities in cloud environments. Utilize security hubs, IAM, and logging tools to ensure the security of the cloud infrastructure.
- Monitoring and Automation. Set up monitoring using tools like New Relic, Splunk, CloudWatch, GCP monitoring, Orion, and Conviva. Ensure continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines are properly configured.
- Incident Handling. Act as the Major Incident Manager for infrastructure issues and application issues, ensuring that all incidents are managed and resolved according to SLAs.
- Backup and Recovery. Develop and implement backup strategies and disaster recovery plans for critical systems.
- Documentation. Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for infrastructure changes and incidents.
- DevOps and Automation. Work closely with the DevOps team to implement and support automated build, deployment, and CI/CD processes.
Required Skills and Experience
- 15-18 years of experience in IT infrastructure management.
- Cloud Architecture Certification. Must have certifications in at least two public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- VMware Certified. Proven experience in designing and building private cloud solutions using VMware or OpenStack.
- Strong Linux/RHEL/Unix implementation, migration, and support skills.
- Hands-on experience with cloud IaaS platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Network/Firewall Knowledge. Expertise in network security and firewall management.
- Disaster Recovery. Strong experience in developing and managing backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Cloud Monitoring Tools. Experience with monitoring tools such as New Relic, Splunk, CloudWatch, GCP, Orion, Conviva, and AWS monitoring.
- Experience with DevOps tools and automation, including CI/CD pipelines.
- SLA Management. Experience in maintaining SLAs and managing critical incidents as a Major Incident Manager.
- Experience in application monitoring and performance analysis.
- Knowledge of Security Hub findings and vulnerability remediation.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes, Cloud Storage, and IAM in GCP.
Preferred Skills
- Advanced knowledge of GCP services like Kubernetes Engine, Spanner, and IAM.
- Expertise in cloud migration from on-premise to hybrid or public cloud environments.
- Understanding of cloud security frameworks and experience managing sensitive data in the cloud.
