The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in CAD tools and systems, providing technical support, troubleshooting, and process optimization to ensure seamless integration between CAD, PLM, and PDM platforms. This role involves collaborating with engineering teams, optimizing workflows, and enhancing system performance to drive innovation and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for CAD systems (such as CATIA, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Siemens NX), troubleshooting issues and resolving them in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize CAD workflows, ensuring efficient use of PLM and PDM systems.
  • Administer and maintain PLM/PDM systems (such as Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault Systèmes Enovia, or PTC Windchill), including user setup, permissions, and system configurations.
  • Work closely with product design, engineering, and IT teams to ensure data integrity and seamless integration of CAD files with PLM/PDM systems.
  • Develop and implement best practices for managing design data, version control, and change management within PLM and PDM systems.
  • Train and guide engineering teams in the use of CAD, PLM, and PDM tools to enhance productivity and reduce system downtime.
  • Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and integrations, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis of CAD/PLM/PDM system issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Work with vendors and software providers to address and resolve technical challenges, optimizing system performance and efficiency.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and advancements in CAD, PLM, and PDM technologies to continuously improve processes and systems.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8-12 years of hands-on experience in CAD support, with expertise in managing PLM and PDM systems.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD tools such as CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Siemens NX.
  • Experience working with PLM systems like Siemens Teamcenter, Enovia, or Windchill.
  • Proficiency in PDM tools and their integration with CAD environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to train and support engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with data management, version control, and change management processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in system migrations, upgrades, or implementing new PLM/PDM systems.
  • Knowledge of scripting or automation tools to streamline CAD/PLM workflows.
  • Certification in CAD or PLM systems is a plus.
