As an ETL/Big Data Testing professional, you will play a key role in developing test strategies and leading test execution for large-scale migration projects to Azure cloud. You will also implement and maintain automation frameworks and mentor team members, contributing to quality assurance solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Strategy Development. Create test strategies and plans based on project requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Leadership in Test Execution. Lead test execution and defect management, managing both offshore and onsite teams for data migration projects.
- Automation Framework. Implement and maintain automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Cucumber, and Rest Assured.
- Project Interaction. Collaborate with project teams to understand requirements and assist in estimation and staffing plans.
- Test Case Preparation. Prepare test cases and SQL scripts for comprehensive data testing, ensuring high data quality.
- Reporting. Execute tests and report results effectively, highlighting risks and issues during project status meetings.
- Data Migration Expertise. Provide expertise in data migration testing and ETL testing techniques, ensuring successful execution of large-scale projects.
Essential Skills
- Big Data Technologies. Strong understanding of technologies such as Hadoop and Hive QL.
- Cloud Migration. Experience in preparing test strategies for migration projects to Azure.
- Database Technologies. Hands-on experience with databases like DB2, Oracle, and MS SQL.
- Scheduling Tools. Proficiency in using scheduling tools such as Control-M or ESP.
- Data Testing Tools. Prior experience with tools like Informatica for data testing.
- Stakeholder Management. Ability to manage stakeholders effectively and drive project status meetings.
Preferred Skills
- Quality Engineering Trends. Exposure to RPA, analytics-driven testing, and the use of AI/ML in QA.
- Cloud Migration Testing. Familiarity with cloud migration testing, particularly AWS or Azure.
