As an Azure Data Architect at Programmers.io, you will play a key role in designing and delivering scalable, high-performance data architectures on the Azure platform. You will lead large data modernization initiatives, with a strong focus on building data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time analytics using the latest Azure technologies. You’ll have the chance to leverage your expertise in AI integration and advanced analytics to drive innovative data solutions that push the boundaries of what’s possible.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of data solutions with business objectives and strategic goals.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data engineering, Azure cloud technologies, and AI/ML.
Solution Design & Architecture
- Architect scalable, high-performance data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time analytics solutions using Azure Data Services such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks.
- Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines, ensuring that data flows seamlessly between various data sources, processing systems, and analytics platforms.
- Create and optimize architectures that provide flexible and reliable solutions for data processing and analysis across different business domains.
AI Integration & Advanced Analytics
- Integrate advanced analytics and machine learning capabilities into data solutions using Azure Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services, and Databricks.
- Design solutions that harness the power of AI to drive predictive analytics, business intelligence, and intelligent insights from data.
- Implement AI-driven automation to streamline data processing and increase operational efficiency.
Optimization & Governance
- Optimize data architectures for both performance and cost efficiency, ensuring that solutions can scale effectively as business needs evolve.
- Establish and enforce robust data governance policies, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations, quality standards, and security protocols.
- Implement data quality management frameworks to maintain the integrity, consistency, and accuracy of business-critical data.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with business leaders, product teams, and other stakeholders to define data requirements and align technology solutions with business objectives.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding of the value and impact of data solutions.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience. A minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, data architecture, and analytics. Extensive experience in designing and implementing data solutions on the Azure platform.
- Expertise. Strong technical proficiency in Azure data services, AI frameworks, cloud architecture, and data governance. Familiarity with Azure Machine Learning, Databricks, Azure Synapse, and Power BI is essential.
- Leadership. Proven track record of leading teams, mentoring colleagues, and driving projects from concept to completion. Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and align them with strategic goals.
- Problem Solving. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges and devise innovative solutions.
- Communication. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Collaboration. Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment, driving cross-functional teamwork and fostering a culture of innovation.
