We are seeking an experienced AWS FinOps Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in AWS Cost Explorer and other cloud cost management tools, with a strong understanding of AWS services and pricing models. This role requires a deep knowledge of cloud economics and a proactive approach to driving cost optimization through discovery, development, and sharing of cost-saving opportunities. You will collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization, including application owners, architects, DCP, and CFU leads, to ensure efficient cloud cost management.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including application owners, architects, DCP, and CFU leads, to manage and optimize AWS cloud costs.
• Utilize AWS Cost Explorer and other cost management tools to track and analyze cloud spending, identifying areas for optimization.
• Drive cost optimization strategies by developing actionable insights, sharing cost-saving opportunities, and implementing best practices for resource utilization.
• Gain a deep understanding of AWS services and their pricing models to provide accurate cost forecasting and budgeting.
• Design and develop weekly and monthly cost dashboards to track cloud spending, performance metrics, and optimization progress.
• Lead initiatives to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities while ensuring the integrity and performance of applications.
• Stay updated with the latest AWS services, pricing changes, and cloud economics trends to continuously refine cost management practices.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, presenting data-driven insights and recommendations to drive informed decision-making.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong experience with AWS Cost Explorer and other cloud cost management tools and frameworks.
• In-depth understanding of AWS services, pricing models, and cloud economics.
• Proven track record of driving cost optimization in AWS environments.
• Experience in developing and maintaining dashboards for cost tracking and reporting.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and lead initiatives to improve cloud cost efficiency.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner) or related cloud cost management certifications.
• Experience with other cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Terraform) to support cost optimization processes.
