Uplers is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Consultant for Inspired Thinking Group, a client that is transitioning to AWS and requires expert consultation to guide them through the cloud journey. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of AWS services and Python for automation, data manipulation, and scripting. You will work directly with clients, offering strategic advice, implementing best practices, and managing AWS infrastructure. This is a remote, full-time permanent role, with the opportunity to influence cloud adoption and architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Consultation & Strategy. Engage with clients to understand their requirements, challenge assumptions, and provide strategic AWS recommendations.
- AWS Infrastructure Design. Design and implement scalable AWS solutions, including EC2, VPC, Elastic Load Balancer, DynamoDB, GuardDuty, API Gateway, AWS Lambda, and more.
- Monitoring & Security. Set up AWS CloudWatch for monitoring and GuardDuty for continuous security and threat detection.
- CI/CD Pipelines. Develop and manage deployment pipelines using AWS CodePipeline for automated and optimized software delivery.
- Cloud ETL Processes. Design and implement Cloud ETL processes for seamless data integration, transformation, and management within AWS.
- API Management. Develop comprehensive API documentation and ensure efficient traffic management to meet business needs.
- Database & Log Management. Work with DynamoDB for NoSQL databases and SQL for querying relational data.
- Traffic Management. Analyze and manage API traffic, providing scalability recommendations to ensure optimal performance.
- Testing & Development. Assist in setting up test environments and define testing methodologies such as unit testing and integration testing.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services like EC2, VPC, CloudWatch, GuardDuty, Lambda, DynamoDB, CodePipeline, API Gateway, etc.
- Expertise in Python for automation, scripting, and cloud orchestration.
- Proficiency in Cloud ETL processes and data integration tools for AWS.
- Strong knowledge of SQL (T-SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) for relational data management.
- Experience with API integrations, including documentation and performance handling.
- Knowledge of system testing methodologies like unit testing, integration testing, and UAT.
- Proven communication skills and experience in customer-facing roles, explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable
- Familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), including configuration, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in React for building dynamic web applications.
- Experience with Streamlit or Dash for creating interactive Python-based applications.
