- Lead the design and development of front & rear bumper systems, grilles, energy absorbers, claddings, and other exterior systems.
- Conduct benchmarking for exterior systems to optimize design and performance.
- Perform feasibility analysis for style surfaces, ensuring adherence to tooling and ECE R26 regulation requirements.
- Create concept proposals and conduct packaging studies, ensuring compatibility with surrounding components.
Concept Feasibility & DFx
- Develop and assess design concepts for manufacturability, assembly, and serviceability (DFx).
- Apply knowledge in tooling, fixings, materials, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and design failure mode and effects analysis (DFMEA).
- Conduct design validation planning (DVP) and ensure stack-up analysis aligns with project goals.
Project Coordination & Communication
- Manage a team of 3-5 engineers, providing guidance and feedback on daily project activities.
- Act as the single point of contact for customer interactions and internal team communications.
- Prepare project plans, resolve issues, and maintain project status to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Offer proactive input to internal teams and customers, resolving any technical ambiguities.
- Present project updates, technical solutions, and documentation to stakeholders effectively.
Cross-functional Collaboration

- Review and check 3D and 2D data, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate across teams to meet project objectives, timelines, and quality benchmarks.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in exterior automotive product design (bumpers, grilles, claddings).
- Expertise in benchmarking, style surface feasibility, and tooling feasibility.
- Strong knowledge of DFx, GD&T, DFMEA, and DVP processes.
- Hands-on experience with materials, fixings, and tooling techniques.
- Experience in managing design projects and teams, with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
- Ability to resolve technical issues and provide clarity to both customers and internal teams.
If you are a passionate engineer with a strong background in automotive exterior design, we encourage you to apply and become part of our dynamic team.
