As an Associate Software Engineer, you will be part of a motivated product engineering team focused on Oracle Communications' Converged Charging product. This innovative system supports rating, charging, and balance management, built on robust Oracle technologies like Java and Oracle Coherence. Your role will involve designing, developing, and releasing cloud-native application services and functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze designs and develop innovative solutions that ensure quality, robustness, scalability, and performance while meeting delivery schedules.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Documentation, Performance, and Program Management, to achieve project goals.
- Maintain consistency and high quality in software delivery.
- Participate in architecture and design reviews for complex technical solutions.
- Follow architectural and quality engineering best practices and standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- Education. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Experience. 1+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise application design and development.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in server-side Java development and high-performance application development.
- Experience with Java, Spring, Helidon, or other microservices frameworks.
- Familiarity with Web Services development using Open API, REST, JSON, SOAP, and XML.
- Knowledge of design patterns and UML.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm deployment architectures.
- Expertise in UNIX programming environments.
- Exposure to continuous integration tools (TeamCity, Jenkins) and testing frameworks (SPOCK, Behavior Driven Development) is a plus.
- Soft Skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong oral and written communication abilities. Thrive in a high-performance team environment.
