Job Description

Microsoft boasts a dynamic and influential partner ecosystem pivotal in driving growth and delivering successful outcomes for customers worldwide. This ecosystem spans global strategic ISVs, industry-specific ISVs, Systems Integration partners, Advisory firms, and Microsoft Channel Partners, leveraging the Microsoft Cloud to facilitate digital transformation.

As the Asia Partner Technology Leader within Microsoft Global Partner Solutions (GPS), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical strategy for our partner ecosystem across Asia. Collaborating closely with Area GPS Technology leaders, your mandate will be to enhance technical capacity and deepen capabilities across the Microsoft Platform. This includes developing co-sell ready solutions and services on the Microsoft Cloud to accelerate opportunity origination and co-sell activities.

Responsibilities

Trusted Advisor

  • Serve as the primary Partner Technology Lead for Microsoft’s partner ecosystem in Asia, cultivating long-term relationships with CIOs, CTOs, and CEOs of strategic partners. Utilize technical and professional credibility to act as a trusted advisor, guiding partners on strategic directions, growth initiatives, and investments in Microsoft partnerships.
  • Influence a broad spectrum of stakeholders across partner organizations to challenge and adapt strategies, business models, and plans.
  • Provide expert guidance and thought leadership on high-priority industry and technology trends such as privacy, security, sovereignty, sustainability, and AI.

Strategy Formulation

  • Collaborate with internal leaders (e.g., GPS, ATU, and STU Leads) to define the partner technical strategy for Asia, aligning with overall Partner Business Strategy and Area priorities.
  • Shape the vision and technical strategy for the partner ecosystem, ensuring technical capability and capacity align with growth ambitions.
  • Foster strategic partnerships with large, complex, and global partners, anticipating issues and refining strategy in line with long-term business visions.

Solution Development

  • Influence partners across all organizational levels to innovate and develop impactful solutions using Microsoft technologies. Facilitate the creation of solutions that enable partners to effectively sell to end-customers and shape industry impact.
  • Drive the acceleration of AI opportunities within the partner ecosystem, supporting partners in developing AI-powered industry and horizontal solutions and services.

Demand Generation and Orchestration

  • Forecast and promote skills necessary to execute technical strategy, ensuring readiness of the partner ecosystem for new or upcoming technologies.
  • Provide expertise across technologies or solution areas, guiding virtual team members (e.g., Account Teams) on strategic directions with partners and customers.
  • Support partners in technical pre-sales, deployment, and consumption, enabling effective practices and solutions.
  • Accelerate co-selling initiatives with the partner ecosystem and virtual teams, sponsoring and participating in pursuits for large, complex, or transformational deals.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 10+ years of technical consulting, technical consultative selling, product development, or related technical/sales experience; OR Master's Degree AND 8+ years of experience, or equivalent.
  • Strong experience with relevant technologies (e.g., cloud, infrastructure, Microsoft platform).
  • Demonstrated success in people management, with at least 5+ years of experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to drive technical strategy and execution in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of an organization.
  • Deep understanding of digital transformation trends and competitive landscapes.
  • Prior experience in AI, machine learning, or related technologies is a plus.
