Job Description

As an Application Integration Developer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing integrations using SAP NetWeaver Process Orchestration (PO) and SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI). You will collaborate with project teams to translate customer requirements into effective technical solutions while leveraging your expertise in middleware and enterprise integration.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Integration Expertise. Serve as a subject matter expert for Enterprise Application Integration, guiding project teams in best practices.
  2. API Development. Design and develop APIs as part of the overall API strategy.
  3. SAP Integrations. Create and maintain integrations using standard and custom connectors within SAP PO and SAP CPI, including integrations with S/4 HANA.
  4. Cloud Integrations. Design and develop integrations with various cloud services (Azure, AWS) across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models.
  5. EDI Development. Work on Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) interface development and design.
  6. Technical Testing. Conduct technical unit testing to ensure interfaces meet functional specifications.
  7. Estimation. Provide rough estimates of effort and duration for prospective projects based on high-level requirements.
  8. Knowledge Transfer. Facilitate knowledge transfer to service delivery teams for smooth operational support.
  9. QA Collaboration. Work with the QA Center of Excellence (COE) to establish reusable QA testing standards and methodologies.

Experience and Key Competencies

  1. Experience. 5 to 8 years in SAP NetWeaver PO and SAP Cloud Platform Integration.
  2. Customer Interaction. Excellent customer-facing communication skills.
  3. Agile Methodologies. Familiarity with Agile concepts and methodologies.
  4. Technical Skills. Proficient in middleware and enterprise integration using various transformation mapping techniques (Graphical, XSLT, Java, Groovy).
  5. Security Standards. Understanding of security and encryption standards (OAUTH, SSH, TLS, SSL, PGP).
  6. Connectors/Adapters. Experience with connectors/adapters such as HTTP/S, SFTP, AS2, JMS, SOAP, REST, JDBC, ODBC, etc.
  7. Independent Problem Solver. Strong independent judgment and problem-solving skills to tackle complex integrations in hybrid environments.
