We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated API Automation Tester to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess solid experience in API testing automation using tools such as Rest Assured and Ready API, and will have a strong background in backend testing. In addition to technical expertise, we require a candidate with good communication skills and the ability to work independently on projects while collaborating effectively with onsite counterparts.

The role will involve testing APIs in an agile environment, where you'll work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the testing processes in the AWS Cloud. Experience. 3-5 years 

Required Skills & Experience

1. API Testing Automation. Proven experience in automating API testing, ensuring that the processes are streamlined and effective.
2. Tools Proficiency. In-depth experience with Rest Assured and Ready API for API testing automation. Knowledge of other relevant tools will be an added advantage.
3. AWS Cloud. Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud and understanding of how to use it for testing and deployment purposes.
4. Backend Testing. Strong background in testing backend systems, ensuring data integrity and seamless interaction between various layers of the application.
5. Agile Methodology. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development environments. Comfortable participating in sprints, stand-ups, and sprint planning meetings.
6. Access Management. Solid understanding of Access Management processes to ensure that secure access and permissions are effectively handled.
7. Programming Skills. Proficiency in any programming language to write and maintain test scripts and automation frameworks.
8. Communication Skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You should be able to confidently communicate with developers, clients, and onsite teams.
9. Independent Project Handling. Ability to take full ownership of projects, managing testing phases autonomously while ensuring timely delivery.
10. Collaboration. Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively in collaboration with teams in different time zones. You should be comfortable in a handshake model where you collaborate closely with onsite counterparts.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. API Test Automation. Automate the testing of APIs using tools like Rest Assured and Ready API, ensuring robust, reusable, and scalable test scripts.
2. Cloud Testing. Leverage AWS Cloud for setting up test environments and running tests in a cloud infrastructure.
3. Backend Testing. Perform detailed backend testing, focusing on the database, servers, and internal APIs to ensure seamless functionality.
4. Agile Work Environment. Work within Agile methodologies to actively participate in sprint cycles, contribute to sprint planning, and ensure timely delivery of testing goals.
5. Access Management. Understand and manage the security aspects of testing, ensuring access management is strictly followed.
6. Programming. Write and maintain automated test scripts using your programming knowledge to develop reusable components.
7. Communication. Facilitate smooth communication between development teams, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment.
8. Collaboration & Flexibility. Be willing to provide support whenever required and work in coordination with onsite teams. You must be flexible to work in a collaborative environment that may require adjustments to work hours.
