We are looking for an experienced Android Developer to join our dynamic team at Wipro. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Android architecture and frameworks, with hands-on experience in Android application development and frameworks. Expertise in Android frameworks like AOSP, JNI, and Native frameworks is essential. Additionally, experience with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Google services will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Android applications with a focus on high performance and user experience.
• Work with the Android application layer (Java), including components like Content providers, Receivers, and Android Framework/Managers.
• Understand and work with Android architecture, including frameworks like Android HAL Layer (preferably Android-O or later).
• Develop and work with JNI (Java Native Interface), Native frameworks (C), and AOSP (Android Open Source Project).
• Strong experience in Android UI development, including Runtime Resource Overlay and advanced UI features.
• Work with Jetpack Compose for building modern UI components.
• Good understanding of IPC mechanisms, Binders, and Shared memory for inter-process communication.
• Experience with integrating and using Google services and frameworks within Android applications.
• Development experience with Android Infotainment systems (AAOS) for use cases like Navigation, Connectivity (WiFi, Bluetooth), and Projection (Android Auto, CarPlay).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop high-quality Android solutions.
• Utilize tools such as GIT, Gerrit, JIRA, and Android source build system for version control, bug tracking, and development.
• Use Android debugging tools for troubleshooting and optimizing performance across different Android devices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in Android development, particularly in the Android application layer and Android Framework/Managers.
• Hands-on experience with JNI, Native frameworks (C), and AOSP.
• Proficient in Android UI development and Jetpack Compose for building modern, responsive user interfaces.
• Strong skills in Java and Kotlin for Android app development.
• Experience with integrating Google services such as Google Play Services or Firebase into Android applications.
• Deep understanding of IPC mechanisms, Binders, and Shared memory within the Android ecosystem.
• Familiarity with GIT, Gerrit, JIRA, and Android source build system for source code management, issue tracking, and project management.

Android Infotainment Systems (Optional)

• Experience in developing applications for Android Infotainment systems (e.g., Android Auto, CarPlay, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity, Navigation) is a plus.

Additional Information

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Android development with a strong focus on Android frameworks and native code development.
