The Analyst - Data Science position is part of the Model Risk Management Group (MRMG) within the Global Risk and Compliance Group. This role focuses on managing and controlling model risk associated with various domains such as Finance, Treasury, Anti-Money Laundering, Climate Risk, and Membership Rewards. The role aims to elevate model excellence and adapt to evolving regulatory expectations and innovation in model development.
Key Responsibilities
- Model Oversight. Conduct independent oversight of enterprise-wide models, including statistical and mathematical models used in Finance, Treasury, Anti-Money Laundering, Climate Risk, and Membership Rewards.
- Gap Assessments. Perform gap assessments and establish a robust framework to strengthen model risk controls and meet regulatory standards.
- Research & Innovation. Research opportunities to enhance model excellence and drive business impact. Innovate modeling techniques and create new variables.
- Communication. Communicate results and findings to partners, senior leadership, and various model committees.
- Risk Management. Effectively challenge the conceptual soundness, theory, and approach of predictive models. Maximize business returns by institutionalizing efficient and accurate models.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education. Master’s degree in a quantitative field or MBA with analytics experience.
- Experience. Hands-on model development or validation experience. Preferred experience in applying advanced statistical and/or quantitative techniques to business problems.
- Skills. Strong analytical, relationship, and project management skills. Ability to effectively communicate complex analytical results and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Technical Skills & Capabilities
- Data Manipulation. Experience with tools such as Python, Py Spark, or similar.
- Modeling Techniques. Proficiency in both supervised and unsupervised learning techniques, including active learning, transfer learning, neural models, decision trees, reinforcement learning, and others.
- Finance & Valuation. Understanding of finance and valuation concepts.
