This pivotal role at Emirates IT requires you to serve as the Scrum Master for our largest programme. You will lead Scrum Teams collaborating with vendors, external partners, and various development teams across the organization to drive impactful change initiatives.
As the Agile Delivery Lead, you will fulfill the Scrum Master role by developing and leading a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team. You will instill a clear vision, drive the implementation of technical products, and set high standards for team performance and quality. Your leadership will be crucial in delivering outputs that provide exceptional value to our business users.
What You Will Do
- Schedule user stories from the technical product backlog to the Sprint plan, ensuring regular and timely delivery of business value initiatives.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies including product backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Manage risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies to optimize the flow of value.
- Guide the team in Agile/Scrum practices and values, fostering self-organization and continuous improvement.
- Assess and coach the team on Scrum maturity levels, promoting empowerment and meaningful contributions from each team member.
- Collaborate closely with Technical Product Owners (TPOs) to refine, clarify, and maintain the product backlog. Commit stories into sprints and visualize progress effectively.
- Support TPOs in managing business expectations and ensuring transparency in the product backlog and initiative schedules.
- Define and manage agile delivery processes, championing ongoing process improvements and conflict resolutions.
- Ensure adherence to Acceptance Criteria and Definition of Done (DoD), and maintain team engagement and commitment to quality standards.
- Utilize agile project management tools (e.g., ScrumDesk, JIRA) to manage and track project progress effectively.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualification. Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Computer Science or related field.
- Certifications. Certified Scrum Master with 3+ years of practical application of Scrum Management discipline. PMI ACP certification is advantageous.
- Experience. Minimum 5 years working in Information Technology with a focus on agile delivery within small/medium technology change programs.
- Skills. Proficiency in MS Office suite, JIRA, Confluence, and other software delivery tools. Excellent communication skills with a focus on core scrum values (openness, honesty, respect).
- Leadership. Demonstrated experience in team leadership, fostering collaboration, and achieving results.
