Job Description

As an Advertising Strategic Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the growth of Amazon's Sponsored Ads product. This position offers the opportunity to drive significant impact by managing key business metrics, working closely with large brands, and leading initiatives to improve advertising performance. The role is based in Gurugram, with travel as required.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Metric Ownership. Manage end-to-end business metrics such as ad revenue and active advertisers within a specific category for Amazon Advertising (Sponsored Ads).
  2. Client Engagement. Serve as a strategic consultant to CXOs and E-commerce heads of large brands. Provide advertising strategies tailored to brand objectives and collaborate with the sales team to achieve these goals.
  3. Process Improvement. Create and implement processes to differentiate Amazon as an advertising destination. Identify and drive automation and process improvements to enhance advertiser impact.
  4. Cross-Team Collaboration. Lead initiatives requiring significant collaboration between Amazon Ads and other teams. Work with global partner teams to drive joint initiatives.
  5. Tool Development. Develop tools and mechanisms to improve overall advertising performance and collaborate with product teams to integrate these tools into existing platforms.

Basic Qualifications

  • Educational Background. Master’s degree from a Tier 1 B-school.
  • Experience. 2-3 years of post-MBA experience.
  • Skills. Strong process orientation with the ability to find efficient solutions and automate tasks. Excellent analytical skills with a strong bias for action.
  • Adaptability. Ability to thrive in an ambiguous setting with sound judgment and flexibility to balance program requirements, tight deadlines, and project management.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Client Management. Experience managing large clients.
  2. Digital Marketing. Knowledge or experience in digital marketing.
