What is compressed backup in RMAN?

    By default, your backup is uncompressed backup. The compressed backups reduce the amount of space required for storing backup sets. The process of copying only used data blocks into RMAN backup sets. We can use compress backups with Oracle and with 3rd party software. We can create a compressed backup of a database. The "AS COMPRESSED BACKUPSET" option of the backup command allows RMAN to perform binary compression of backupsets.
