How do you distinguish a DNS problem from a network problem

    by pinging if you got reply by pinging an ip address of public network [for eg., IP of google] network is working fine.At the same time if you can not get the reply by using domain name [google.com]it may be DNS problem. Note : Ee sure before pinging whether that the particular site support ICMP echo(ping) or not
