XP Themes

I know how to create an XP themed form using the manifest file for an exe application. But I am developing a COM add-in for internet explorer, how would I create XP style for that? I saw someone suggested that you could bind the manifest file to "iexplore.exe" but that can't be the right way. Anyone have any suggestions?
